About This Spot

Walking into Taco Tree in Auburn, you’re greeted by a familiar kind of rhythm — the steady hum of a busy spot where locals pause to grab something quick and satisfying. It’s the kind of place where the pace feels deliberately unhurried, a casual comfort zone that invites regulars and newcomers alike to settle in without pretense. The warm lights and straightforward seating create a space that’s unassuming but quietly welcoming, like an old friend you hadn’t seen in a while but instantly remember why you keep coming back.

The air carries the subtle, tantalizing scent of seasoned ground beef and fresh tortillas, promising a meal that hits just the right notes without fuss. This is the kind of local fast food that has sculpted itself over time through simple, honest ingredients and consistent care rather than flashy trends. Here, a large taco salad or a plate of super nachos isn’t just food — it’s a small ritual, often shared with friends or family, bringing a sense of connection to an otherwise hurried day.

There’s an approachable authenticity to Taco Tree’s atmosphere, where the staff moves with a friendly efficiency that reflects a deep-rooted pride in what they serve. The menu offers familiar favorites — think hearty burritos, crunchy tacos, and flavorful enchiladas — all presented with tempting extras like extra sour cream or cheese that add a personal touch to each dish. This kind of comfort food doesn’t demand attention but quietly rewards those who savor it.

Whether you’re grabbing a breakfast burrito to start the day or winding down with a root beer and a handful of tacos, Taco Tree holds a steady charm rooted in community tradition. It isn’t about polish or flash; it’s the kind of local spot that stays consistent across decades, where every visit feels like a little reunion with flavors and moments that have woven themselves into Auburn’s everyday tapestry.

I've been eating at taco tree since the beginning of time So Many memories With friends. And family. It's not a 5 star restaurant, but it is what it is, and what it is is awesome.

I love both locations north and south auburn. If your gonna eat inside I would recommend north auburn location (Bigger inside). Very nice staff, always clean super fresh every time no cheap ingredients and very very very delicious! Ground beef is very good not like taco bell or del taco etc. Large Super nachos are a must try! Crunchy ground beef tacos are the best American style you will ever try! Oh and their hot sauce pairs perfectly with their food (hot or mild) Not once have I had a mistake FRESH CHIPS FRESH VEGGIES EVERY TIME !!!!

I've given it five stars because with consistency comes strength and this place is exactly like it was when I was 10 years old. It's not the best, it's not the worst (by far...) but it's always amazingly good somehow. Gotta give em 5 stars.

Food was pretty good. They know to drain the meat. The bell has lost a regular, I will go here instead.

As we go camping / driving through we always have seen taco tree and never stopped ! Finally our curiosity and hunger has made us stop and I am glad we did . Ordered nachos small and large , quesadilla and a taco and let me tell you it was worth the stop . Delicious , fast service and. Very clean restaurant .

Taco Tree is what Taco Bell could be if the food looked like their ads. Taco Tree is the best fast food Mexican place! I could eat here everyday. The food is so good. The service is also so good. It is always presented hot and fresh.

Real food, good prices. We stopped by on the recommendation of co-workers. Way better than we expected. Ordered the three tacos and beef bean tostada, and chips with red salsa. So good. We ordered super nachos next. Save some chips and salsa to put on the nachos and clean up the yummy cheese sauce.
